The DrawingWater series translates audience narratives into unique alchemical images. From Surveys about water (memories, family histories, geographies and symbols) a waterproof cartographic under-drawing including a narrative diagram, is created on heavy weight paper. Individually each sheet is immersing into a tray of sea water, with copper and iron found objects and symbol silhouettes. Over days and weeks the metal elements oxidize to precipitate images.
